‘The Institute for Physical Planning of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County’ Public Institution was founded on the basis of the Physical Planning and Building Act (OG no. 76/07) for the carrying out of activities of physical planning for the County. Until the adoption of the Physical Planning and Building Act, the activities of physical planning in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County were carried out by the County Institute for Sustainable Development and Physical Planning established as the administrative body.
The County Assembly of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County adopted the Resolution about the establishment of the Public Institution, whilst with a resolution of the Commercial Court in Rijeka number Tt-07/2677-5 from 24th December 2007 an entry was made in the register of institutions. The Public Institution began working on 1st January 2008.
‘The Institute for Physical Planning of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County’ Public Institution took over the officials, affairs, equipment and archives of the County Institute for Sustainable Development and Physical Planning, and continued work at the same address in Rijeka, Splitska ulica 2, on the 2nd floor.
On 1st January 2014 the Physical Planning Act (OG no. 153/13) came into effect which specified the obligation of the compliance of the Act regarding the establishment of an institution with the Act. The compliance of the establishing act was completed with the adoption of the Resolution about the alterations of the Resolution about the establishment of the ‘Institute for Physical Planning of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County’ Public Institution at the session of the County Assembly of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County of 21st May 2015.
