GRADUATES OF RIJEKA’S CIVIL ENGINEERING SCHOOL VISITED THE INSTITUTE FOR PHYSICAL PLANNING OF PRIMORJE-GORSKI KOTAR COUNTY

As part of the Open Doors Day, the Institute for Physical Planning of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County hosted graduates of Rijeka’s Civil Engineering School, who were shown the work of the Institute, the scope of its activities and the importance of spatial planning in the development of the local community.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to learn about the basics of spatial planning, urbanism and sustainable development, as well as specific projects and professional tasks that the Institute implements in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. Special emphasis was placed on the role of experts in spatial planning, environmental protection and the creation of quality conditions for life and community development.

Through a presentation and discussion, the students were introduced to the possibilities of further education and professional development in the field of civil engineering, architecture, urbanism and spatial planning.

The Institute emphasised that such meetings are important for connecting the educational system and professional institutions and for encouraging young people to actively think about the space around them and its sustainable development.
