PRESENTATION OF "CONNECTING LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS TO THE PHYSICAL PLANNING INFORMATION SYSTEM OF PGC"

At the beginning of 2017, the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Institute for Physical Planning enabled local self-government units (LGU) to use the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Physical Planning Information System.

The system is continuously maintained and updated with new data, and every year it is upgraded with new solutions that seek to facilitate the work of local self-governments and bring physical planning closer to the public. The system is actively used by more than 140 registered users of local self-government units.

Local self-government units are regularly informed about all the changes to the system, and presentations to local self-government units that are users of the system are planned for May and June 2022.

On 4th May a presentation was held for the first two groups of towns and municipalities (8 LGU).

The gathered were greeted by director Adam Butigan and he pointed out that this project enables all towns and municipalities the use of official data in the field of physical planning, which the Institute regularly updates and processes.

Afterwards, the employees of the Information System Service presented the PratiPlan application set up in 2021, which enables the informing of the public about the progress of the development of spatial plans and the following of public hearings. Preparations for the implementation of the contents of the Register of Spatial Plans that local governments can incorporate into their official websites were also presented.

Presentations for the remaining towns and municipalities will continue during May and June.
