The Days of Architects event, traditionally organised by the Croatian Chamber of Architects, was held this year under the auspices of the President of the Republic and the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets. The conference is held throughout the year, in seven terms, and is dedicated to the themes of the development of the planning profession, the encouragement in the quality and evaluation of planning as well as the popularising of the discipline of spatial planning. Considering the reputation that our institution enjoys in professional circles, the experts of the Institute were invited to participate in the work of two thematic meetings.
From 28th to 29th September 2021, the meeting 5.2. / SPACE AND CONSTRUCTION / TIME FOR A NEW LEGISLATIVE FRAMEWORK was held, and in its work, within the panel discussion "Spatial Planning System - Challenges and Practices" the Director of the Institute Adam Butigan, took part. The focus of the discussion was on the issues of the quality of spatial planning, the autonomy and possibilities of the profession within the existing legislative framework and the perspectives of establishing a better spatial planning system.

From 8th to 9th November 2021, the meeting 5.4. / SPATIAL AGENDA: QUALITY SPATIAL PLANNING was held. Assistant Director Duško Dobrila participated in the panel discussion "Interdisciplinarity in Spatial Planning", in which, in addition to spatial planners, representatives of the wider professional community (geographers, sociologists, landscape architects) also took part. Through the discussion, solutions were sought to improve the framework of activities in the field of spatial planning by examining the possibilities for achieving real interdisciplinarity in spatial planning.

Gorana Ljubičić, a leading planner at the Institute, in collaboration with Roman Di Giusto from the company Planimetar addressed the subject "The state and prospects of spatial planning – an overview of the state of spatial plans in the Republic of Croatia" and presented it at the conference. The overview of the state of spatial plans in Croatia was the starting point for a discussion about the state and perspectives of spatial planning in Croatia.
