As part of the theme of the professional seminar: The climate change and natural disasters project was presented by the Institute for Physical Planning of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Public Institution in a lecture called The vulnerability of the coastal area of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County due to climate change.
During 2020, the Institute, in collaboration with the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Rijeka, realised the first phase of The analysis of the vulnerability of the coastal area of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County due to rising sea levels project.
The aim of the project is the scientific analysis of the vulnerability of coastal settlements in the County with regard to the expected consequence of climate change – rising sea levels, by determining the degree of the threat to the entire coastline of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
