The Institute participates in the MountResilience project as a partner and represents the replicator region of Gorski Kotar. The aim of the Institute’s participation is to develop a so-called replication plan for the implementation of solutions that contribute to the climate transition of mountain regions. Within the framework of the project, demonstration regions carry out adaptation activities in ecological, economic and social terms, which result in models and practices suitable for further application in other mountain regions. Based on the characteristics and priority needs of Gorski Kotar in the field of climate change adaptation, the Institute is tasked with collecting, integrating and shaping the transfer of good practices that are relevant and applicable in this region. Special emphasis was at the same time placed on respecting the spatial characteristics and capacities for sustainable spatial development of Gorski Kotar.
